MODERN GRINDING TECHNOLOGY TO PRESERVE THE ANCIENT TASTE OF BREAD
A journey through grain cleaning, resting and grinding to make flour: from whole grain to refined flour.
A visit to a new generation mill to see how one of the world’s most popular ingredients is made. “SOFT WHEAT FLOUR”, the basic ingredient for making bread, biscuits, rusks, bread sticks, pizza, pasta, pastries…
The mill uses 100% of the wheat and “no waste is produced”; the core of wheat is made into flour, while the outer ‘caryopsis’ is transformed into bran (used for animal feed).
An expert “”Miller”” will take you on a journey to discover how a wheat berry is turned into flour, until it is packaged and ready to be taken to the shelves of your trusted grocery store.
